On Tuesday we went to the British Film Institute. It was quite fun, we watched many films.
The first film was very weird and a bit scary. A man was in a "B&B" he was going to leave but this lady locked him in, when he found an open door he ran but the lady caught him and took him back. Personally I thinkthe film was about this OLD man who still felt he was young and didnt understand that he was growing up(was still in the past).
There where many more films about drugs and different day to day life. The creators of these films where very good and I would watch more.
However, the reason we where in the BFI was because we wanted to improve our Creative and Media Skills. We met a group of people who do different jobs in the business, like producers and a few designers.
In my group we had: Zulaykha, Yetunde, Samiat and Mary. I was on the camera, Samiat and Yetunde were the interviewers and Mary was.. backup, Zulaykha was the soundwoman.
We filmed two people. We asked them whether there jobs where temporary or permanent. we asked what they like.disliked about there jobs and if they liked there bosses.
It was very fun speaking to these people, and I learnt alot about how hard they work by deciding who does what and so on. Next time we go to the BFI I would like there to be more time and more things to do.
Thanks to Joe who works in the BFI for helping out with the camera and positioning. :)
